This is a step-by-step guideline with resource links for self-motivated learners who want to become junior UI designers, then junior UX designers, or product designers.

Note: This is not a course, but a suggested roadmap by Shad Iqbal and the contributors of UX Bangladesh.

It might take 12–18 months to complete this journey, depending on the effort and learnability.

This roadmap is prepared specially for Bangladeshi design-enthusiastic learners.


Milestone 1: Basic check

Outcome: Know yourself and be confident about the next steps towards being a UXer.

Duration: 3-7 days

1.1 – Evaluate your English language skill, IQ, Mindset

English will let you explore all of the UX topics, from basic to advanced levels. You don't have to be fluent in English, but you should at least know the basics. Also, evaluate your analytical skills, problem-solving mindset, and, obviously, Google search skills before jumping in.

Reading is a necessary skill for every UI and UX designer. Start by reading articles in your native language, then progressively broaden your reading horizons. To read the top articles and get the best recommendations later, you'll need to create a Medium account.
